For use in Canada, ID2SR interlocked switched receptacles have an internal, factory sealed switch designed to provide safe and reliable power for hazardous locations. They are available in 30, 60 and 100 Amp versions, and are typically used for applications that require portable or fixed heavy duty equipment, such as welders, generators, compressors, conveyors, heaters, pumps and other high-amperage equipment. Designed to provide short circuit protection, ID2SR receptacles are ideally suited for damp and corrosive environments. A special polarization option prevents the insertion of a plug into a receptacle or connector that is wired for a different voltage.
