CES and CESD 30 Amp and 60 Amp pin and sleeve receptacles offer explosionproof protection for stationary or portable equipment used in hazardous locations. The Slide-Lok® feature enforces a three-stage power insertion process to prevent unintended power up or accidental disconnect. Factory sealed and constructed of triple coated malleable iron with copperfree aluminum cover, these receptacles are designed for rugged and reliable performance.

Applications:

• Lighting systems, conveyors, heaters, motor generator sets, air conditioners, compressors, pumps and other portable and stationary equipment
• Class I environments such as petrochemical plants, petroleum refineries, paint and chemical plants, or any location where ignitable vapors or gases may be present

Features:

• Copperfree aluminum receptacle and cover, malleable iron mounting box, fiberglass reinforced polyester insulating blocks
• Factory installed seals eliminate the need for external seals and contain any arcing to the receptacle interior
• Delayed-action construction: Insert plug to the first stop, move the Slide-Lok slide to the right, then push the plug fully forward to lock it in place and energize the receptacle
• Style 2 (shell and extra pole) grounding
• Receptacle terminals are deeply recessed to prevent accidental touching
• Constant pressure brass contacts ensure superior electrical continuity
• Neoprene bushing compressed by cable collar prevents entry of water
• Spring door keeps out dust when the receptacle is not in use
