Contender® CPS 20 Amp factory sealed pin and sleeve receptacles provide explosionproof protection for stationary or portable equipment in hazardous, damp or corrosive locations. They are interchangeable with select competitors’ boxes, receptacles and plugs, allowing you to benefit from Appleton features and reliability. Covers are UL Listed when used with Contender Series EDS mounting bodies.

Application:
- Lighting systems, heaters, motor-generator sets, air conditioners, compressors, pumps and other portable and stationary equipment using 15 or 20 Amp power
- Damp or corrosive environments
- Class I hazardous environments in which ignitable vapors or dust hazards may be present
Features:
- Copperfree aluminum cover, malleable iron mounting bodies, stainless steel screws, fiberglass reinforced thermoset polyester insulating blocks, neoprene plug grommet
- Delayed action construction requires the user to rotate a slide in order to fully and safely insert the plug
- Energized receptacle terminals are deeply recessed to prevent accidental touching
- Factory installed seals eliminate the need for external seals, simplifying installation and maintenance
- Insulators provide superior dielectric and mechanical strength along with minimal arc tracking
- Mechanical cable clamps prevent cable strain at the plug connection
- Plugs and receptacles are supplied with pressure terminal connectors
