The compact flame controller CFC 100 has a narrow-band, high-temperature-stable UV tube. The preamplifier generates a signal proportional to the detected UV radiation pulse chart generated. The following sensitivity adjustment enables processing of the signal to match the combustion proc- ess. Other functional groups include, inter alia, the signal conditioning for dynamic monitor channel which checks the fail-safety of the device continuously. A component defect leads to an immediate shutdown of the flame relay, which stands as a potential free changeover contact for burner control. The switching status "Flame On" is additionally indicated by a yellow LED on the rear panel. The flame intensity of the compact flame detector can be read directly on the device by means of a pulsating green LED. For visualization or remote display is a current output of 4-20 mA. The safety switched for operation is factory-set to one second.
