Wall & Concentricity Measurement Systems

UltraScan systems from Beta LaserMike provide on-line precision measurements of product wall thickness and concentricity, with an option for also measuring diameter and ovality. Using ultrasonic technology, UltraScan systems are able to make high-speed, non-contact measurements during production.

Depending on the application, UltraScan gauges are available to cover various product diameter and wall thickness sizes in both fixed and adjustable transducer distance styles. Each supports multiple transducers and is capable of measuring several layers.

Unique patented “Snap Technology” for automatic setup.

UltraScan DSP with “Snap Technology” automatically sets up the waveforms of all transducers, tracks tolerances to catch wall variations, and provides higher accuracy of average wall and concentricity measurements with assured repeatability. Capable of 25 µm (0.001 in.) wall thickness on tubes as small as 250 µm (0.010 in.).

High-speed tolerance checking. 

Finds short-term wall variations with high-speed tolerance checking option. UltraScan DSP sends details of each error to the DataPro 5000, including which transducers sent the error, max/min wall size during error, and which layer(s) contain the error.

Easy to install and use.

UltraScan is easy to setup, put into service, and operate. It provides flexible communication integration to UltraScan DSP with RS-232, DeviceNet, CANopen, and Profibus protocol support. Flexible mounting options available.
