ELECTRONIC ANALOG CONTROLLERS

 

Designed for OEM applications, especially in the commercial cooking and instrument and equipment fields, these controls are either panel or sub-panel mount. They include a potentiometer and calibrated scale (to your application if required), with options for input voltage, type of load, output device, control mode and auxiliary outputs.

QUANTEM® controls come with a local (built in) set pot and scale or with a remote set pot and scale connected by a wiring harness, depending on the application. Controls are available for thermistor, RTD or thermocouple input.

 

Series 3: compact encapsulated controller, offering protection from moisture, dust, shock and vibration.
Series 10: single or dual stage control with two independent outputs. For ovens, mold controls, environmental chambers.
Series 13/14: economical sub-panel mount thermistor controllers. A low cost answer for vulcanizers, heat sterilizers, hot melt applicators, photo-processors, griddles, steamers and lab instruments. 
Series 58: a low cost reliable water thermostat for application particularly in pools, hot tubs and spas.
Series 68: our most versatile controller widely used in numerous industrial and commercial applications. Economical so it can replace bulb and capillary systems. Compact and rugged panel mount design.

Quantem Corporation offers custom controls. These controls can be fabricated from an existing hardware design and customized using software or a completely new customer specific controls with custom hardware and software.

Series 21:  The Quantem Series 21 "single stage" thermostat offers the "Ag producer" and/or greenhouse grower a simple, yet economical and reliable control, for regulation of fan motors and/or heaters. The bulb and capillary unit is wall mounted with a 35 to 100 degree F range.  Series 50: This electronic fan modulator precisely modulates the speed of ventilation fans in response to changes in ambient temperature. Especially designed for agricultural buildings, although of broad application in all ventilated areas, these fan controls are compact units designed to fit on a standard 4x4 junction box. The gasketed construction protects the electronic controls against dust and solid-state design ensures long life and reliable operation.Series 51E: This electronic fan modulator precisely modulates the speed of ventilation fans in response to changes in ambient temperature. This product is similar to the Series 50 but also has a digital display. It is also enclosed in a gasketed housing designed to meet NEMA specification Article 547 for agricultural building use.Series 55:  This electronic fan modulator precisely modulates the speed of ventilation fans in response to changes in ambient temperature. Especially designed for agricultural buildings, although of broad application in all ventilated areas, these fan controls are compact units designed for wall mount. . It is also enclosed in a gasketed housing designed to meet NEMA specification Article 547 for agricultural building use.Series 66-5:  Precisely modulate the speed of ventilation fans with model 66-5 manual speed control. Optimum air circulation is maintained in ventilated areas and buildings with minimum noise and efficient use of energy. Especially designed for agricultural buildings, although of broad application in all ventilated areas, these fan controls are compact units designed for wall mounting.

MP60-X Series:  QUANTEM® microprocessor based fan controls offer the progressive farmer the very latest technology at exceptionally low cost. Here is a new line of AGSTAT® controls from QUANTEM®, which provide in a compact package a whole spectrum of capabilities including multi-outputs, hi/lo alarms, programming and PC link. Model MP60-2 is designed for wall mounting. Protected against dust and moisture, a fully sealed housing meets NEMA specification Article 547 for agricultural building use and provides infinitely variable control of fan speed within a narrow temperature range (modulation band) above set point.

QUANTEM® thin film resistance elements are designed to be the core of every precise temperature measurement system. The resistance of the element varies with temperature in a very precise and repeatable manner, thus allowing its resistance value to be an accurate indication of temperature. The temperature sensitive part of the element is a film of platinum embedded on a ceramic body and covered with glass.    QUANTEM® elements have a very small thermal mass in relation to surface area, offering exceptional response times, which are recorded as 50% and 90% attainment of source temperature in water flowing at 0.4m/sec and in air at 1m/sec. Elements are available as standard in 1000, 100 and 500 ohm values.

Temperature measurement with Pt sensors is based on the measurement of electrical resistance. The resistance Rof Pt sensors varies with temperature in a precisely pre-determined manner. The relationship between resistance and temperature can be expressed exactly by a mathematical function by which the principal values of the Pt 100 resistor can be calculated. Temperature Coefficient of resistance TCR indicates the average resistance change per one degree at temperatures between 0°C and 100°CTCR 0.100 = (R100 - R0) / (R0)/100
Where: R= Electrical resistance at 0°C and R100 = Electrical resistance at 100°C
The nominal TCR value for Pt resistor according to DIN IEC 751 is: TCR 0.100 = 3850 ppm/0°C
